About Troop 770

Troop 770 is an active troop.  In addition to weekly troop meetings, the Scouts camp each month at various locations and plan their activities, including hiking, cooking, canoeing, horseback riding and more.  The Scouts also attend summer camp each June or July.

While the troop is boy led, active adults and parents support the Scouts’ activities.  A number of adults are approved as troop merit badge counselors in areas such as art, camping, citizenship, communications, cycling, fishing, law and personal fitness, among others.

The troop welcomes the involvement of new parents.

With the guidance of the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters, troop meetings are planned by the Scouts elected to the Patrol Leaders’ Council.  Through camping and troop meetings, Troop 770 offers opportunities for Scouts to complete rank requirements.  Scout progress toward rank advancement, awards and merit badges is tracked using Scoutbook.
